What is Biofeedback?
Biofeedback is a noninvasive, sensory awareness training technique, in which you are taught to improve your health and performance by using signals from your own body. Sensors are attached to different parts of your body to monitor your body’s physiological state, such as brain waves, skin temperature, muscle tension, heart rate, and breathing. The feedback from these sensors teaches you how to change or control these physiological reactions in order to reduce your symptoms. Overall, biofeedback is an appealing form of treatment as it’s noninvasive, may reduce or eliminate the need for medications, may be an alternative to medications for some conditions, and it helps you take charge of your own health.
Biofeedback can help with:
- ADHD
- Depression
- Panic Disorder
- Anxiety
- Chronic Pain
- Migraine/Headache
