Biography:

David Hipes received his Masters in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He works at the Lodestone Center for Behavioral Health as both an outpatient therapist and intake clinician. David works with individuals ages 18 and up and treats a variety of clinical issues including depression, anxiety, and neurological disorders (e.g. ADHD) as well as provides supportive services for clients as they cope through life stresses and transitions.

Therapeutic Focus & Approach:

David maintains a client first approach to foster therapeutic relationships for each individual’s unique values and life experiences. David emphasizes a strengths based harm reduction foundation for therapy with a focus on life transitions as opportunities for healing and growth. David also incorporates a variety of techniques from the modalities of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI) based on the unique needs of each client.
