Kristen is one of our clinical interns completing her supervised post-MSW hours to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.  She earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She completed an extensive internship at University of Illinois Health in both the inpatient and outpatient levels. Kristen works with individuals of all ages, although she is especially passionate about working with adolescents and young adults.

Therapy Style:

Kristen believes in a Person Centered Approach, which focuses on clients’ development of skills and knowledge that allows them to empower themselves through their own personal potential. She strongly emphasizes on the importance of developing trust and an emphatic relationship with clients in order to create a safe and successful therapeutic space. Kristen utilizes techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivation Interviewing (MI), Supportive Psychotherapy, and Mindfulness.
