Biography:

Ms. Lisa Manhart is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who earned her Master’s Degree (MA) in Social Work from Loyola University.   Lisa provides individual therapy for older children, teenagers and adults, incorporating family work when needed.

Therapeutic Focus & Approach:

Lisa works with her clients, using a psychodynamic perspective (considering clients’ past experiences) while also building skills in mindfulness (non-judgmental present-moment awareness), in order to promote development of insight, greater self-awareness, and ability to manage difficult emotions.  She views her clients holistically, incorporating techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness Skills Training, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), yoga-informed, and sensorimotor psychotherapy.
