Biography:
Dr. Val Rosenberg is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who earned her Ph.D. at University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Rosenberg completed her predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Dartmouth College Geisel School of Medicine. Dr. Rosenberg works with individuals 16 years old and up. Dr. Rosenberg has a particular interest and expertise in eating disorders, having worked in all levels of care (Inpatient, Partial Hospitalization, Outpatient).
Therapeutic Focus & Approach:
Dr. Rosenberg meets clients where they are at in order to build a solid, trusting foundation. While working collaboratively with clients, Dr. Rosenberg believes in empowering individuals to further support their efforts towards personal growth and effective change. Her clinical focus is on anxiety, eating disorders, depression, life transitions and stressors, and adjustment. Dr. Rosenberg tailors treatment to each individual and their unique needs and strengths by integrating Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Family Based Treatment (FBT; for eating disorders), and strengths-based therapy.
