One connected team
Collaborative care with the providers you already trust
One of our strengths is collaboration with outside providers. We routinely receive referrals from therapists, physicians, and outside organizations, and we coordinate closely with the needs of the patient and the priorities of the referring provider to complete the missing components of the treatment plan.
Care that completes the picture
Good care often involves more than one professional. A therapist may want diagnostic testing to sharpen a treatment plan. A physician may want psychiatric prescribing handled by a specialist. An organization may need a trusted partner for a service outside its walls. In each case, our job is the missing piece, delivered in step with the care that is already working, not a fresh start that discards it.
That takes real coordination: understanding the referral question, communicating with the referring provider with the patient's consent, and returning the patient to their existing care with the answer, the prescription plan, or the new skills the referral was for.
Expert support for your existing care
Psychological testing
An outside therapist or physician needs diagnostic clarity: is it ADHD, autism, a learning difference, or something else? Our doctoral-level clinicians complete a thorough evaluation and, with the patient’s consent, return a clear written report and practical recommendations that the referring provider can build on.
About our testing →Medication management
A patient has a strong therapy relationship elsewhere and needs thoughtful prescribing alongside it. Our prescribers handle the medication piece with unhurried appointments, coordinating with the outside therapist so both halves of care pull in the same direction.
About our prescribing →Specialized therapy
Sometimes the missing component is a specific therapy: ERP for OCD, CBT-I for insomnia, or play therapy for a young child. We provide the specialized work while the patient’s broader care continues right where it is.
About our therapy →For referring providers
When you refer a patient to LodeStone, our intake team verifies their benefits up front and matches them with the clinician suited to your referral question. With the patient's consent, you stay in the loop: evaluation reports, treatment updates, and coordination on the plan you set in motion. The treatment relationship you have built stays yours; we handle the component you sent them to us for.
Care is available in person in Hinsdale and Woodstock, and via telehealth across Illinois, with most new patients seen within about a week.
Common questions
Do I have to leave my current therapist or doctor to be seen at LodeStone? +
No, and in many cases the opposite is the point. A large share of our patients come to us for one missing piece, testing, medication management, or a specific therapy, while their existing care continues unchanged. We respect the treatment relationship that referred you to us.
Will LodeStone communicate with my referring provider? +
With your written consent, yes. We coordinate with the needs of the patient and the priorities of the referring provider, sharing results, reports, and treatment updates so nothing about your care gets lost between offices. Without your consent, nothing is shared.
I’m a therapist, physician, or organization. How do I refer a patient? +
Have your patient reach out through our get-answers form or by phone at (847) 802-4058, or contact us yourself and we will take it from there. Our intake team verifies the patient’s benefits before the first visit and matches them to the right clinician for the referral question.
Is care through a referral covered by insurance? +
We are in-network with BCBS PPO, Blue Choice, Aetna, Medicare, and United Behavioral Health, and we verify benefits before the first visit, including any prior authorizations, so referred patients know what to expect before care begins.
