Biography
Christina is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Domestic Violence Professional (CDVP) who earned her Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Bradley University in Peoria, IL and her Master’s Degree in Social Work with a Certificate in Trauma Practice from Simmons University in Boston, MA. Christina works with people of all ages, specializing in individual and family therapy with children and adolescents ranging in age from 4 to 17.
Therapeutic Focus & Approach
Christina specializes in treating children and adolescents with ADHD, Anxiety, Autism, Depression, PTSD, behavioral issues and trauma. She also specializes in working with survivors of domestic violence and children who witnessed domestic violence. Christina utilizes various approaches to meet her clients’ needs, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Attachment-Based Therapy (ABT), play therapy, art therapy, talk therapy, and sand tray work.
Christina believes in building a safe, supportive, collaborative therapeutic relationship with clients, tailoring her therapeutic approach to each client’s unique needs. She views her clients from a trauma-informed, person-centered, strengths-based perspective, providing a space for individuals to be themselves.
